This article is a personal reflection on 30 years of membership of the Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers (ANZASW, and inclusive of the earlier name, the New Zealand Association of Social Workers – NZASW). The major issues and changes faced by ANZASW are considered from the perspective of someone who undertook a range of roles within ANZASW and in the wider profession.
